AI Foundations — Community Call · May 27, 2026

Real Problems.
Real Fixes.

Three community calls. Hours of raw conversation. We pulled every solvable problem and mapped it to a concrete solution — tools to build, docs to write, moves to make.

Cost to Build Most of These
Kirk
Manually comparing two insurance policy documents to find differences and explain coverage impact
What was said
Evaluating Outmarket AI and Power Broker AI at $300/mo. Carter pulled them up live — no data moat, just gen AI document processing. Same thing anyone can build for ~$80/mo.
Build this
Two-file upload app in Claude Code. Upload PDF A + PDF B → Claude extracts, compares, returns structured diff with plain-English impact summary. Internal tool, ~$0.04/run.
Kirk
Needs a website with calendar booking + intake form that populates Agency Zoom CRM — was about to pay Gravity Certs
What was said
Gravity Certs builds on Go High Level. Carter: "There's no technology gap — just niche experience." Community offered to help and never followed through.
Build this
Static site + Cal.com embed + intake form → n8n → Agency Zoom. Community build, probably one call to knock it out.
Lee
No affiliate hub — members want to support the hosts but links are scattered or nonexistent
What was said
Multiple people asked for affiliate links on the call. Drake has Hostinger and Higgs Field affiliates. Everyone agreed a central page was needed. Nobody built it.
Build this
One HTML page or public Google Sheet — company name, description, affiliate link. New entries via JSON. 30 minutes to build, zero maintenance.
Lee
Doesn't know which n8n hosting option to use — cloud vs. VPS vs. local
What was said
Carter: Hostinger VPS with one-click n8n install. Always online, n8n runs free on self-hosted, ~$12/mo. Unlimited automation runs.
Build this
One-page beginner guide: n8n hosting options comparison (cost, complexity, best for) + step-by-step Hostinger VPS walkthrough.
Lee
How to deliver client automation work remotely without going on-site
What was said
Carter: self-hosted n8n with project folders per client. For apps, zip a folder and do a 30-min onboarding call — screen share, click this, click this, done.
Build this
Client onboarding playbook — project folder template, zip + deliver instructions, screen-share call script. One doc, reusable forever.
Brian
10 years of photography, zero marketing — doubled pricing and niched down, now can't reach new high-value clients
What was said
100 five-star Google reviews. Already dialed in on Google Business. Carter: local SEO + GEO is the lowest-hanging fruit. Lee (former commercial photographer) offered to help.
Build this
SEO-optimized portfolio site — niche keywords, geo-targeting, lead form → Google Sheet. Claude Code can draft it in an hour. Community already offered to build it.
Brian
Needs calendar booking + intake form wired to his CRM — was about to hire an outside agency
What was said
"If there's somebody in this community that does this, I would rather support this community than somebody outside of it." Carter + community offered to build it together.
Build this
Cal.com embed + intake form → Zapier/n8n → CRM. Post in the Skool community for proposals. Could be done in one session.
Brad
Branding crisis — does video, drone, web, and AI but her own network thinks she quit everything for AI
What was said
"Even my closest business partners are hiring other people for drone work I've done for them for years. They just… assumed." Community advice: show what you want to sell.
Build this
Single landing page — "AI-Augmented Production." Video + drone + web shown as one integrated offer. Claude Code, one session.
Brad
Rabbit hole spiral — starts one project, dives into sub-problems, surfaces at 1am having built something 6 layers from the original goal
What was said
"I feel like I have some sort of disorder because I just… I see something and I'll fix it real quick and it's one in the morning." Anthony: plan mode is the fix. It's pre-production.
Build this
A "scope lock" CLAUDE.md snippet. Drops into any project. Forces plan mode, blocks scope creep, requires explicit sign-off before any code runs.
Brad
Organizational chaos — Notion, n8n, WordPress sites, Post-it notes, ideas scattered everywhere, no unified capture layer
What was said
Tried Carter's full productivity system — "worst 6 months of my life." Simpler Notion setup works for email/tasks but notes/ideas layer is missing. Obsidian feels too far off-script.
Build this
Daily journal Claude skill + end-of-day Pushover ping: "log your day." One command captures notes, pushes to Notion. Already started — just needs the habit trigger.
Brad
Priced a client off the internet before having the value story built
What was said
Lost the Department of Job and Family Services. Brad's own diagnosis: "I need to get over myself and just get in the door first." Give clients what they think they need. Build from there.
Build this
Tiered proposal template — Tier 1 (simple site, low price, get in the door), Tier 2 (full build with integrations). One doc, reusable for every pitch.
Community
Model switching mid-session burns tokens — switch Opus → Sonnet and the new model re-reads everything assuming it did all the prior work
What was said
Dave's fix: add a context marker at the top of every return: [2026-05-27 | Sonnet 4.6 | resuming from X] — tells the model exactly where it is.
Build this
A one-page habit doc + shareable CLAUDE.md snippet. Post it to the community. Everyone on those calls needed it and nobody had it written clean.
Community
Claude is sycophantic by default — always tells you that you nailed it, hard to know when something is actually wrong
What was said
Dave hard-coded it: "no compliments, logistics only, this isn't character building — it's system building." Everyone in both calls wanted his CLAUDE.md block. Nobody had it.
Build this
Clean, shareable anti-sycophancy CLAUDE.md block with a calibration line. One paragraph. Post to community. The word is "engaged" — not "harsh."
Community
No session versioning standard — can't tell which Claude Code session is the latest version of a project
What was said
Carter: keep context at 66%, label chats with date + what was shipped. Ask Claude to summarize before ending every session. Several people had different half-solutions.
Build this
Naming convention doc: project-feature-vN-YYYYMMDD + closing prompt template. One doc, post to community.
Community
AI workshops are PowerPoints about AI — attendees leave knowing nothing new, no hands-on proof
What was said
Brad turned a real estate workshop into an HTML video game on USB drives. "Select your character" = your business goal. Hidden inside: a live AI system that built and uploaded their calendar. Every attendee emailed her after.
Build this
Workshop-in-a-box template — HTML game framework, character = goal selection, one live AI trick baked in. Customizable per industry. Could be a product.
Community
AI snake oil problem — people selling $250 prompts that are free on GitHub, or code that only works on their machine
What was said
Brad found a $250 "proven Claude Code setup" on a public GitHub and PMed every attendee the free link. Term coined: AI psychosis — gotten high on your own supply.
The fix
Education is the antidote. This community doing real work and showing it publicly is the differentiator. Document the contrast — surface-level vs. deep work — and let the work speak.
Community
Creators aren't documenting their own work as content — doing remarkable things, recording none of it
What was said
Brad spent an hour building a pixel-art livestream background and realized afterward she should have recorded it. "The most fun stuff I do is probably good content."
Build this
A personal rule: any workflow that takes more than 20 minutes gets recorded. Simple OBS always-on profile. The content writes itself — hit record before you start, not after.
V'ger
The AI that runs in the background while you work
V'ger Aware watches your sessions, surfaces patterns, and keeps the context you'd otherwise lose. Built by the same people who run this community.
